CANDLEWOOD YACHT CLUB
The Candlewood Yacht Club is a private, family-oriented club focused on sailing, fellowship, and racing.
The Candlewood Yacht Club has been dedicated to sailing since 1938. It is located in the town of New Fairfield, in western Connecticut. Situated on the west side of Candlewood Lake at Chatterton Point, the club faces Turtle Bay across from the New Fairfield town park.
We have a fleet of Flying Scots for one-design class racing, and a wide variety of boats in the cruising fleet. The club owns fleets of Sunfish, 420's and Opti's.
There are year-round social activities for members and their families to enjoy: the lake, our picnics, swimming and play areas, and, of course, the camaraderie of fellow sailors!
The philosophy of member involvement in the club's operations helps keep expenses low, making the CYC one of the "best deals on the lake".

We are hosting a US Sailing course to help us find Junior Sailing instructors for next year. Since it is the only course in the area with open slots, it will fill up soon!

The lake's water level was too low to install the docks on the original schedule.
The dock party has been combined with the work party on 4/11.
